About Your Initial Pain Consultation Visit
For patients who are new to the Pain Management Practice.
Your initial consultation will be aimed at thorough evaluation of your condition, review all supportive tests/studies and prior undertaken treatments (if any) to determine your plan of treatment. You most likely will be suggested to have a trial of an oral drug along with injections and other types of therapy to augment the relief of your pain. Different things work for different people and different types of pain. Pain usually results from irritation and inflammation of nerves, muscles, bones, or other solid tissue organs. Each of these different types of pain must be treated in a different manner.
For patients established on pain medication management the initial evaluation will be similar but the aim for treatment focused on appropriateness of medication dosing and goal for dose reduction established. Various types of oral medications are used to help relieve the inflammation of the involved tissues and injection therapies are used for certain conditions to target the area that the pain originates from. At Blossom medications and injections are often pared with treatments such as chiropractic, Cryotherapy, counselling, physical therapy, and acupuncture to maximize your pain relief and functional restoration. These integrative therapies combined with more standard treatments will maximize your chance to pursue enjoyable activities. Medical Marijuana Certificates
We are accepting new patients for the Medical marijuana certificate. We scheduled both our current patients, as well as, those not a part of our pain clinic for the evaluation.
This certification is not covered by your health insurance carrier. Please call for more information and pricing details.

If you are not a part of our clinic, please bring the following documentation with you to your scheduled appointment:
- The most recent chart note from the physician treating your qualifying condition.
- A list of your medications that you are currently prescribed.
- A photo identification card such as your driver’s license or passport
- Proof of your Virginia residency
